Rotation projects 2020-21

We are recruiting! Please get in touch if you are interested in rotating. The lab is a great place to train. We have an awesome and experienced lab manager (Amy), two excellent postdocs (John & Mintu), and two talented senior graduate students (Betty & Natalie) to support you. We use a variety of techniques and approaches in the lab to answer fundamental questions about cell biology and human brain disease. We have multiple projects focused around important human protein complexes (COPI, retromer, AP4, AP5).

Protein expression & purification (bacteria & mammalian cells)
Biochemistry: pulldown assays & calorimetry
Crystallization & X-ray crystallography, including small molecules/drugs
Single particle cryo-EM
Imaging
Computational projects to predict protein structures and disease pathology (with Capra lab, UCSF)
