The Jackson lab is actively recruiting graduate student(s) for 2016-17. We have excellent funding from NIH and the Pew Charitable Trusts to pursue cutting-edge science in cell biology and human brain disease. We have plenty of exciting projects that encompass structural biology, biochemistry, and/or cell biology. Get in touch with Lauren about a rotation, especially if you're keen to find your own niche and drive your own project in a bustling lab dedicated to great science, mentorship, and development of graduate students.
Are you a talented and motivated undergraduate looking for an intensive research experience? If yes, get in touch with Dr. Jackson about the Beckman Scholars Program, a unique program offered at Vanderbilt for students interested in pursuing research as part of their careers. Dr. Jackson is a mentor and the Associate Director of the program. Further details on the program can be found here. The deadline will be in January 2017, and previous lab experience as a volunteer or for credit is an advantage.
