Classes start today at Vanderbilt, and we're glad to have Jeff Yung (junior) back in the lab. We are also welcoming a new undergraduate researcher, Anderson Monken, from the chemistry department. Jeff and Anderson will be working to characterize a COPI binding partner using biochemical methods. And of course Lauren is back in the classroom to teach Biochemistry (BSCI2520) again!

Brennica Marlow has joined the lab for her first rotation, as part of the Quantitative & Chemical Biology (QCB) Program. Brennica completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Cornell followed by the PREP program at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Welcome to the lab, Brennica!
Meredith passed her qualifying exam on August 18th and is now a fully fledged Ph.D. candidate. The lab looks forward to celebrating this milestone soon with our end-of-summer lab event at Live on the Green. Congratulations and well done, Meredith!
The Jackson Lab welcomes new IGP, CPB, and Biological Sciences graduate students. Please get in touch with Lauren if you are interested in rotating by sending your CV/resume, grades, and a brief email outlining your interest. We have many exciting projects in membrane trafficking that span a range of techniques, including structural biology, biochemistry, biophysics, and cell biology.
